Did you know that the term 'cartoon' was originally used to refer to a full-size sketch drawing made by an artist as a preliminary design for a painting or other large work of art?
A Leonardo DaVinci cartoon of the Holy Family was used as inspiration for the painter Bernardino Luini in his Holy Family oil painting .
Below is the DaVinci 'cartoon' of the Holy Family

In the early 1500's, Bernardino Luini used used the cartoon of DaVinci for a painting of the Holy Family and added the figure of St. Joseph to the work.

These images are used in the lyric video of the song BLESSED MARY PRAY FOR US by artist/composer Marlane Tubridy. An original song based on the text of the prayer, Litany of Mary. Repeated sung response PRAY FOR US can be used by the listener to become part of the prayer.
Also used in the lyric video of the song to Mary, are images of fresh ROSES.......
as a reminder of the scent and images of roses of some of the Marian apparitions and presence of Mary's intervention.
